As our Operations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of everything we do. You’ll lead our operations, manage our awesome team, and make sure our projects run smoothly. What You’ll Do
Fundraising: Spot opportunities and write grant proposals.
Project Power: Lead projects from start to finish—on time, on budget, and with a big impact.
Operations Overhaul: Keep our operations running like a well-oiled machine, aligned with our big-picture goals.
Money Management: Handle budgets like a pro, ensuring we’re financially solid and compliant.
Team Leader: Manage and mentor our team, keeping the vibe positive and the output high.
Strategic Planning: Help shape and execute our long-term strategy, aligning operations with our mission.
Build Relationships: Be the face of Smokinya with donors, partners, and government agencies.
Continuous Improvement: Always look for ways to make our processes faster, smarter, and better.
What You Bring
Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Non-Profit Management, or something similar. A Master’s is a plus.
Experience: 3-5 years in operations management, ideally in the non-profit or NGO world.
Leadership: You’ve led teams before and know how to motivate and develop people.
Project Management: You’re a project ninja—taking projects from start to finish with impressive results.
Financial Skills: You’re good with numbers and can manage budgets with ease.
Problem-Solving: You thrive in fast-paced, complex situations and know how to find solutions.
Communication: You’re a people person who can build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
Tech Savvy: You know your way around project management tools, Google Suite, MS Office, Zoom, Slack, Slite, and more.
Languages: Fluency in English and Bulgarian (spoken and written) is a must.
Extra Points For:
Grant writing and fundraising experience.
Experience in the non-profit or youth development sector.
Familiarity with Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs.
Clear employment track record.
References from previous employers / managers.
