Role Overview

Dignita is seeking a passionate and skilled Communications and Fundraising Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping our communications strategy, enhancing our visibility, developing project proposals and driving fundraising initiatives to support our mission. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the fight against human trafficking.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Communications Strategy: Develop and implement a communications plan that aligns with Dignita’s mission and goals, including managing social media, website content, and public relations efforts. 
  • Content Creation: Produce compelling content that tells the story of our work, including FB posts, short videos, web articles, press releases, presentations, and other information materials. 
  •  Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, coordinate press releases for Dignita events, and respond to media inquiries to increase Dignita's visibility. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to understand the impact of Dignita’s work and translate this into effective communications messages. 
  • Proposal Writing: Develop and submit high-quality project proposals to international and national donors, ensuring alignment between Dignita’s goals and priorities and donor requirements. 
  •  Project Development: Collaborate with program teams to design impactful projects that address the root causes and effects of human trafficking, implementing a rights-based approach, and ensuring that projects are both innovative and sustainable. 
  • Ongoing Research: Conduct ongoing research to identify new funding opportunities and trends within the anti-trafficking and human rights sectors.

Qualifications 
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, International Development, Human Rights, Social Sciences, or a related field. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in communications, fundraising, or a related role, preferably within the nonprofit sector. 
  • Skills: 
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. 
    • Experience with social media management, website content management systems, and email marketing platforms. 
    • Experience in securing funding from diverse sources, including EU programmes, national donors, and corporate partners. 
    • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to align project goals with donor priorities. 
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. - Language: Proficiency in both Bulgarian and English is a
