Foundation
Smokinya Foundation is looking for a practical,
organized, and mission-driven Operations Assistent to help us grow our impact and keep
our daily work running smoothly. If you love solving problems, leading teams,
and building systems for good—this is your chance to make a difference.
Who We Are
At Smokinya Foundation, we’re building a world that
works for everyone—through love, care, and cooperation. Since 2013,
we’ve empowered over 950 young people across Europe through non-formal
education, EU mobility projects, and community-based activities.
We’re an accredited Erasmus+ Youth and European
Solidarity Corps organization (2021–2027). We’re a small NGO with a big
mission and a strong track record of steady growth.
Your Role in Action
You’ll be the operational backbone of the
organization—keeping everything aligned, organized, and flowing. Here’s how:
Lead
Operations & Projects
- Oversee day-to-day work and ensure alignment with our mission and strategy
- Coordinate project teams and timelines from planning to implementation
- Support smooth delivery of events, training, and mobility activities
Grant Management
- Identify funding opportunities and submit compelling grant applications
- Manage grant reporting and maintain strong donor relationships
- Ensure quality implementation of funded projects
Finance
& Administration
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure compliance
- Maintain internal systems and handle logistics and documentation
- Ensure timely reporting and smooth audit readiness
Team
Leadership
- Guide, support, and coach team members and ESC volunteers
- Foster a culture of collaboration, feedback, and shared responsibility
- Facilitate regular team meetings and internal development
Partnerships & Representation
- Represent Smokinya to donors, partners, and institutions
- Build strong local and international relationships
- Coordinate joint initiatives and represent the organization at events
What You Bring
- Degree in Business, Management, Non-Profit Leadership, or related field (Master’s is a plus)
- 2-3 years in operations or project management, ideally in the NGO sector
- Experience leading people and coordinating teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Solution-oriented mindset and adaptability
- Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Canva, etc.
- Fluent in Bulgarian and English is a must (spoken and written)
Bonus Points For
- Experience with Erasmus+ or ESC programs
- Grant writing or fundraising experience
- Clear employment track record with references
