Marine Cluster Bulgaria (MCB), an NGO acting to support the Blue Economy in Bulgaria is looking for experienced and self-organized professional for the position of Communication Officer.
Key responsibilities:
The Communication Officer is responsible for planning, coordination and implementation of usual cluster activities and initiatives, like completing a wide range of administrative tasks that ensure smooth workflow within the organization. More specifically tasks may cover:
- communicating with members, partner organisations, public authorities and stakeholders;
- composing and preparing official correspondence; delivering services from the organisation’s service portfolio;
- promoting MCB’s and project activities and achievements;
- producing and designing documents, reports, presentations;
- organising and participating in internal and external meetings and events; drafting agendas, collecting and preparing information; take minutes of meetings;
- creating dissemination materials and social media content;
- searching for prospective new innovative companies ambitious to create partnerships and enter new markets;
- assisting the Managing Board to effectively lead the cluster activities;
- contributing to the implementation of ongoing projects by performing researches, analyses and development of strategies as part of project tasks.
The successful candidates would have:
- Education: University degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Innovation Management, Public Relations, or equivalent.
- Professional Experience: previous work on a similar position. Experience in clusters, NGO processes, good awareness of the Blue economy and experience in public-funded projects (Horizon, EMFAF, Erasmus, Interreg, etc.) is an advantage.
- Computer skills: good knowledge of MS Office pack, MS Teams, Zoom, Google suite, Canva/similar, Internet, Social media, Mail Marketing tools.
- Language Skills: fluent English and Bulgarian – written and spoken, good grammar knowledge.
- Technical skills: ability to organize physical and hybrid events, and using necessary technical equipment – camera, laptop, etc.
- Other skills: good communication skills, self-discipline, creativity, analytical capacity, ability to think ‘out of the box’; be a good team player, while also be able to follow on tasks independently; knowledge of diverse donor-funded programs would be appreciated.
