Key responsibilities

• Planning, organising and implementing project activities, including coordination of assigned tasks, monitoring of deadlines and expected outputs, and communication with project partners;
• Conducting research, collecting and analysing data, contributing to surveys and stakeholder consultations, and preparing analyses, surveys and other project documentation;
• Screening relevant EU, national and international funding programmes and identifying funding opportunities relevant to MCB, its members and partners, particularly in the Blue Economy;
• Providing tailored business and advisory support to SMEs, including access to funding, innovation, start-up and scale-up support, internationalisation;
• Supporting innovation testing and validation by identifying and engaging companies and other relevant stakeholders as end users to test and provide feedback on innovative solutions;
• Organising and participating in MCB activities (meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars, hackathons and other online and onsite events, preparing and delivering presentations), including engagement and cooperation with cluster members and other Blue Economy stakeholders.

• Education: University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management, European Studies, Public Administration, International Relations, Engineering, Environmental or Marine Sciences, Social Sciences, or another field relevant to the position.
• Professional experience: Relevant experience in project implementation, research and/or stakeholder engagement, with knowledge of EU funding programmes and policies. Experience with EU or other publicly funded projects, particularly in a cluster, NGO, business support or research organisation, is a strong advantage.
• Analytical and organisational skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to organise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Communication and teamwork: Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team and in an international environment.
• Language skills: Very good command of Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken, with good drafting and reporting skills.
• Digital skills: Very good command of Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools; experience with data-collection and AI-supported productivity tools is an advantage.
