The World Giving Report seeks to shed light on two aspects of giving — the attitudes and behaviours of the public and the trends and challenges within the social sector.

In our Donor Insights, we have dug far deeper into what the public think and do, to reveal ground-breaking insights on the nature of generosity across 101 countries around the world.

The Charity Insights focus in on 27 countries, where we uncover the challenges that social purpose organisations face and the overall state of the social sector.

Our two global reports bring these high-level insights together while — for the first time — we are also able to offer country-specific information. This is a result of CAF's partnership with over 20 leading social purpose organisations to understand as much as possible about generosity and civil society around the world. Our intention is for this deeper level of insight to help understanding and prompt conversations, from policymakers to personal networks.

By telling both sides of the story — that of donors and that of charities — we aim to provide insight that is valuable to governments, policymakers, charities themselves and all types of givers.

Since 2009, Charities Aid Foundation`s World Giving Index has provided an annual snapshot of generosity across the world.
