Opportunity for partnership on the second phase of our Young Digital Leaders project

Срок за кандидатстване: до 16.11.2018 г.
Young Digital Leaders is a Europe-wide education project led by Google and ISD, a global counter-hate and extremism organisation.

Young Digital Leaders is aiming to empower young people through digital citizenship, critical thinking and media literacy skills, so that they can become tomorrow's digital leaders. The project, developed by ISD in partnership with Google, was created in order to equip young people with the skills they need to be safe, powerful and effective online citizens in the 21st century, and to explore new ways of teaching digital citizenship in formal educational settings in Europe.

The 2018 pilot phase pioneered a unique, collaborative partnership model between students, teachers, parents and local civil society organisations across Europe. ISD trained facilitators from three local partner organisations in Italy, Romania and Sweden in the digital citizenship curriculum, who then delivered three school workshops to 260 students aged 13-16 and three accompanying parent engagement sessions to 40 parents of the same students. All delivery was subject to a robust evaluation process that demonstrates the efficacy and impact of the project.

Building on the success of our 2018 Young Digital Leaders pilot project, ISD is seeking to appoint three appropriately qualified local partner organisations to support the scaling of the project in Bulgaria, Greece and Romania respectively, over a one year period.

Phase two of this flagship European digital citizenship project will be comprised of school workshops, parent engagement sessions and teacher trainings, with a specific focus on young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. By the end of 2019, Young Digital Leaders aims to have reached 20,000 young people.

Please see here for the request for proposals, which provides a more in-depth and specific overview of the local partner role and the experience required of the local partner organisation, as well as information on the application process and timeline.

We will be available for a call throughout the application period to provide organisations with the opportunity to ask any additional questions around the project, the expected role of the local partner and the application process, in addition to the information contained within the request for proposals, should they require it.
