The BEYOND Report is Here! Empowering Youth Across Borders

We’re thrilled to announce that the first core output of the BEYOND – Building Bridges: Empowering Youth, Nurturing Determination project is officially complete! After months of fieldwork, analysis, and powerful youth voices, the BEYOND mini report is now finalized—and it’s more than a publication. It’s a call to action.

From Sofia to Nicosia to rural Ireland, young people navigating the challenges of displacement and transition into adulthood shared their experiences, hopes, and the systemic barriers they face. The report captures the lived realities of migrant and refugee youth aged 14–30 and highlights five critical areas:

• Mental health and well-being

• Language and communication

• Housing and living conditions

• Access to education and employment

• Discrimination and social inclusion

Backed by interviews, surveys, and focus groups, this cross-national research goes beyond data—it reflects resilience, urgency, and the need for tailored, youth-centered responses.

Dive into the report and discover the priorities directly voiced by youth: from anti-bullying programs and trauma-informed care, to accessible housing, fair employment, and peer-led community spaces.

These insights now guide our next phase: designing roadmaps for concrete, community-based interventions across Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Ireland.
